Introduction:
This exciting opportunity with NVIDIA centers on their DriveOS automotive operating system—technology at the heart of next-generation self-driving and advanced driver assistance systems. As a Test Developer and Automation Engineer, the selected candidate will define and refine the testing and automation strategies ensuring high quality, reliability, and seamless deployment of NVIDIA’s automotive platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Craft comprehensive test strategies and plans for new and existing features in DriveOS.
- Design, implement, and enhance automated testing frameworks to streamline QA processes and ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across teams to align real-world customer scenarios and technical requirements.
- Debug, analyze, and resolve issues in system, embedded, and automotive contexts; lead root-cause investigations.
- Mentor team members; foster innovation and excellence in QA, testing, and automation.
- Engage with global, cross-functional NVIDIA teams to ensure world-class quality and user experience in self-driving product lines.
Key Technical Skills:
Python, automation frameworks, embedded systems testing, Linux and/or QNX, C/C++ code comprehension, AI coding assistants, QA process optimization.
Requirements:
- B.E / B.Tech / MS / MCA or equivalent
- 4+ years in software development/testing, preferably in embedded/linux/automotive
- Experience with embedded testing and ability to write Python code from scratch
- Understanding of Linux or QNX, with ability to read and comprehend C/C++
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants and automation libraries/tools
- Strong analytical, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; passion for autonomous vehicles
Preferred:
- Automotive or autonomous driving domain expertise
- Deep Linux kernel knowledge, multimedia/graphics systems exposure
- Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO 26262, industry-standard I/Os)
- LLM/GenAI knowledge
